Open Tryouts for 2019-2020 Competitive Teams (u9 thru u18) Boys & Girls | Birthyears 2002 thru 2011 | April 29 thru May 10, 2019
WHO: Open to players from all towns who were born between 2002 and 2011. Players interested in trying out must attend at least 1 tryout, and are recommended to attend as many as possible. All age groups will have OPEN tryouts at the same time. Players on all teams stay together for two consecutive seasons (fall and spring).
Lawrence Hamnett teams compete in outdoor league games most weekends in the fall and spring, including 1 or 2 tournaments each season, and optionally participate in an indoor league in the winter. Practices are typically held weeknights twice-a-week with certified coaches, and include biweekly training by a designated Red Bulls trainer. U15 and older teams frequently opt out of playing in September & October because players participate on school teams during the week, but each team makes its own decision. See details on competitive home page.Interested players are encouraged to attend all sessions. Wear shin guards and cleats. Please do not wear clothing with club logos or travel team jerseys and gear. All players should bring water and a soccer ball. All participants will be notified of their status shortly after the tryouts conclude.
Open Tryouts for Competitive U8 Teams Boys & Girls | Birthyear 2012 | November 2019 (Exact Dates To Be Announced)
WHO: Open to players from all towns who were born in 2012. Players interested in trying out must attend at least 1 tryout, and are recommended to attend as many as possible. Players will stay together for three consecutive seasons (thru Spring 2020).
WHAT TO BRING: Each player should bring water and a ball (size 3), wear sneakers or soccer flats (no cleats), shin guards, and appropriate indoor athletic wear.
Does missing one of the Tryout Dates disqualify the player from being accepted?
Not at all. We try to schedule multiple dates, often 3 over 2 weeks, b/c we know there will be scheduling conflicts. The more visibility the better, but missing a night is not a problem. However, it is important to let the coaches know when you have a conflict.
What if I haven't registered, can I still come to a tryout?
We prefer you register in advance, but don't let that stop you from attending a tryout. You can always register immediately after the tryout.
